This half-Irish model walked in Kanye's fashion show and gave us the behind-the-scenes goss
YESTERDAY, WE TOLD you about the ‘hot mess’ that was Kanye’s fashion show in New York.
The rapper debuted his Yeezy Season 4 collection on Wednesday and let’s just say that it didn’t quite go to plan. Some models fainted, some models struggled to walk in their heels.
Like we said: it was a hot mess.
Among those to walk in the show was Ciarda Hall from New York, who just so happens to be half-Waterfordian. (Hall’s mother Ann hails from the county.)
Hall decided to try out for the show after seeing Kanye West’s casting call last week, which specifically requested “multiracial women only”.

“They were specifically looking for multiracial girls and so I thought, ‘Well here’s my chance’ and I went to the casting,” Hall explained to DailyEdge.ie.

It was the night before the show and Hall still hadn’t heard back from the casting agency. “I was just like, ‘Damn, this sucks,’” she said.
But then just as she was going to bed on Tuesday night, she received an e-mail informing her that she had been cast in the show.

And so the next day, she set off with no notion of what was about to happen. Upon arriving, she discovered everything was still shrouded in mystery.
The models were subsequently placed on buses and brought to Roosevelt Island, the setting of the show. Hall said it was “insane how beautiful it was”.

And then the dreaded sun came out.
According to Hall, the models were instructed to stand and look straight ahead. They were told they could sit down if they got tired.
As soon as the show started, however, Hall said that several models began to pass out due to the heat.
Hall said nobody working at the show helped at the time and it was left to other models and audience members to bring water to those who passed out.

Ciarda didn’t direct criticism at Kanye West and said he was merely trying to create a beautiful spectacle.
But on the other hand, she felt that West could have at least interacted with them.
Despite the show’s flaws, however, Hall said she was still delighted to have been part of what was ultimately “a beautiful experience”.
Up the Déise, tbh.
